What a glorious time of fellowship and ministry we had yesterday at Refreshing Waters Ministries, which is located on the lovely campus of Ohio University in Athens, Ohio.
From the bottom of my heart, I want to thank Pastors Bob and Lisa Crable for giving me the honor and privilege to return and celebrate with them and their church on their four year anniversary.
The Crable’s answered the call of God in 2009 when they left everything behind and took a huge step of faith to move from Uniontown, Pennsylvania to Athens, Ohio. God called them to build a house for Him and to raise up sons and daughters for ministry in these last days.
It is absolutely powerful to witness the house God is building for His glory. Students from literally around the globe are worshiping God together. Refreshing Waters is a multicultural congregation and ministry. It so reminded me of what John saw in Revelation 5:9 where he declared, “And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation . . .”
It is plain to see that as these students graduate and move on, this Godly couple is going to literally impact the world for Jesus Christ!
The service began with powerful worship as the praise team led us to the throne of God.
Before I delivered the Word, the Refreshing Waters Ministries choir ministered to the Lord with two beautiful and uplifting songs.
The Lord burdened my heart with a word that was both soul searching and convicting. The building was charged with the Lord’s presence. The students, as well as a number of visitors, eagerly received the Word with great hunger and respect.
Approximately half of those in attendance lifted their hands calling out to God in repentance and submission to both the Word and the will of God for their lives. There was a wonderful time in the altar as the gifts of the Holy Spirit flowed freely.
One highlight for me was a very precious young lady, Hanna, who received Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. It was amazing to see the Holy Spirit deal with her as she surrendered her life to Jesus!
Immediately following the service, a wonderful meal was prepared for everyone that was mouth watering and delicious!
I want to thank everyone for all of the love, generosity, and hospitality that was shown toward me during my visit! May God continue to richly bless all of the leadership and students. I love you all!
I especially want to commend Pastors Bob and Lisa Crable for their faithful dedication to the Lord and His church. Despite the many financial and personal hardships this couple has endured, they continue to faithfully serve the Lord joyfully. Thank you for being such an encouragement, not only to your congregation and those on campus, but also to me and all who know you. You are an inspiration to us all. Congratulations on four years of ministry!
