You Think God Doesn’t Already Know?

“Take notice, you senseless ones among the people;
you fools, when will you become wise?
Does he who fashioned the ear not hear?
Does he who formed the eye not see?
Does he who disciplines nations not punish?
Does he who teaches mankind lack knowledge?
The LORD knows all human plans;
he knows that they are futile.”
Psalm 94: 8-10 (NIV)

God made your ears so he is not deaf. He hears every word and also knows every thought. He made your eyes so he is not himself blind. He sees everything you look at and all that you both do or do not do.  This goes for the good works and for sin. Do not think for a moment that something is done in secret.

God is the one who disciplines to correct us. He will also punish those who take their last breath rejecting salvation through Jesus. Without the forgiveness through Christ, we are the ones who are punished for our sins. Jesus paid the price. The free gift of God is offered to everyone. Salvation is also free to be rejected. Your choice.

God is the origin of knowledge. Do you think for a moment that you are creating anything new through knowledge? No, we are all just discovering what already is known by God. God teaches us. God is not lacking in any knowledge. He has no need to learn something new.

All of our plans are futile. However, walking in the will of God bears eternal fruit. It is life with purpose. Faith includes an element of discovery. We come to learn that trusting God is the only trust that is never betrayed. We come to learn that trusting in his plan for us is where we find peace, satisfaction and contentment. There is our plan and God’s perfect plan. The closer any of us walks in God’s perfect plan, the happier we are going to be.
